Is the wu-jing site a reliable source? It describes itself as a fan page, which we would not apply as a reliable source. I've added the template to this page until more about this is found out. Andrzejbanas (talk) 13:25, 1 October 2010 (UTC)

Judge Dee (incorrectly called Detective in this movie) and this film is not based on Di Renjie, but Robert van Gulik's character Judge Dee, who was loosely based on Di Renjie (who may or may not have been a real person). That should be obvious from the name of the movie!
