Coleman has been charged with possessing an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear or violence, but he denies this. [1] Is this worth mentioning? The Sun also reported yesterday that he was suspended from East Midlands Tonight because he put a false temperature on the map and said "Proves you can't believe everything you read in the papers or see on the TV" but that hasn't been reported anywhere online. –anemoneprojectors– 21:49, 13 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Oh sorry, added the info before seeing this. I guess, seeing as it's a notable story and now quite a public known court case, it would be remiss of us not to include? That he was arrested is a fact, that he denies it is a fact, and that he will stand trial is a fact, that he was sacked is also a fact, so we arent repeating gossip. Are you apprehensive about including?GunGagdinMoan 13:35, 14 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

On 14/04/2011 Coleman was "completely exonerated " of the allegations . The Judge went as far to say the Crown Prosecution Service had acted "negligently" and the case should have been dropped months ago..He also said it was "elementary policing" to find out details of past convictions and information about witnesses and it should have been done earlier and the case dropped at that stage.. The main witness in the case was completely discredited after it was revealed he had been involved in four incidents of road rage over the past couple of years, where in one case he threatened another motorist with a knife.. Police discovered he had searched the internet using Colemans registration plates, and he,d offered to sell his story to a national newspaper. The Judge being that concerned about the amount of negligence with this case from the prosecution, has ordered a copy of the transcript be sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions. Coleman is on record as saying he was wrong to joke on air " you shouldn,t believe what you read" . However how one person can make such a serious allegation and the relevant authorities not to find out past details and information about the accuser is scandalous.. Do not forget , the time from accusation until court hearing was 10months. (Tclm90 (talk) 13:50, 28 April 2011 (UTC)).Reply
