For a start, "only the second woman to serve as a commissioner" is a bit meaningless. Commissioner of what? How many are there? Is this a technical term in Oklahoma? If it is a major state-wide office, and there is only one of them in the state, that should suffice for notability. If there are 100 or more at a time, I suggest it is not notable. --Brownlee 12:01, 31 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

I am from Oklahoma and the Corporation Commission (a state agency with 3 commisioners & 600 employees) regulates Oil & Gas drilling, utilities & telephone companies.

I can't say that the edits to the article since I posted this comment leave me any the wiser. --Brownlee 11:59, 6 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Is there any way the author could cite this at all? With Ms. Bode running for Congress, this page's traffic will likely increase. -- ymi17

Thanks to the anon editor from Oklahoma. I'd say touch and go on notability.--Brownlee 11:14, 17 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Two issues with Bode biography. First, it says she lectured at the Heritage Foundation. She has and never has had an affiliation there, and her career path veers wide of Heritage's position on highly subsidized, intermittent energy source such as wind energy.

Second, the article references a republican ideology ("...Appointed by Governor Frank Keating, Bode took office on August 20, 1997[1] and was elected on November 3, 1998 with over 60% of the vote, a record for a Republican...") inconsistent with her career choice as CEO of a free-market failure subsidy-mongering technology trade group (AWEA). Further, the statement is ambiguous in that it says she was appointed, then elected to the same position/office, not clear on the position or office title. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 97.85.84.192 (talk) 22:20, 6 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
