Hatnote edit

I strongly believe the hatnote should be remove, the distinction is enough, it is unneeded. SoapFan12 00:04, 4 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

I strongly disagree. The title of the two awards is mere letters apart from each other. The awards are very easily confused. Many readers might not even know the difference, the hat note is important for readers to make sure they are at the correct article they want to be at.Caringtype1 (talk) 00:12, 4 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

Many readers should know what they are looking for. The Daytime and Primetime has very similar spelling but : To make it easier to, someone should add something in the lead saying : "This awards also recognize outstanding achievement of an actress who has appeared in a programming beetween the hours of 2:00AM and 6:00AM or something." The readears will know when their programming is broadcast. SoapFan12 00:40, 4 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
I think the hatnote clears any confusion up right away, so additional sentences in the lead aren't necessary then. I just think it's much easier to have the hatnote, to avoid any confusion on our end, and for the reader's sake.Caringtype1 (talk) 00:56, 4 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
  • It should be removed. I doubt readers would get confused. The hatnote is unnecessary.Firstly the Primetime award has been viewed 10,002 times in the past 90 days, while the Daytime award has been viewed 8016 (Kinda high considering the Daytime Emmys occurred in the past 90 days and the Primetime's haven't, yet still have more views). The Primetime award is more popular, therefore I think if there was confusion, the hatnote should be added to the Primetime award of similar title, because that is where more people look. But a hatnote here, which points to the bigger and more distinct award? It's random and unneeded. Arre 03:12, 4 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
