The article on Robertland suggests it was Sir David's father, another David, that was involved in the murder of Eglinton and escaped to Denmark. Jonathan Oldenbuck (talk) 09:27, 3 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

There is a will of David Cunningham written at Drimmen just after the murder in the National Archives of Scotland that tends to settle the generations of these lairds of Robertland. The will is that of David, Mr of Work perhaps on the run. The estate was confiscated and passeed to the Montgomeries. However none of this is really relevant to the article, though Thomas Riis Auld Acquaintance describes two Danish legal documents that presume David Cunningham master of work innocent of the murder, there is no doubt that (1) the Master of Work was touched by the murder (Riis), (2) was in Denmark (Riis), (3) met the Scottish royal party in Denmark (David Stevenson, Scotland's first royal wedding, (4) returned to Scotland and court employment (Doc relative marriage James VI, Bannatyne Club). 62.25.109.195 (talk) 13:26, 14 April 2010 (UTC)Reply
