Merge proposal

I propose to merge/redirect this title to Passengers of the Titanic#Passenger list. I propose this because:

1. WP:NBIO - I do not see, per the longstanding notability concern that someone raised 4 years ago, how the subject meets the relevant notability criteria. In terms of WP:BLP1E, effectively ALL of the subject's notability arises from his involvement with the Titanic. And, in that sense, it is unclear how the subject is any more notable than the 2,200 other passengers. I also do not see that being a low-ranking combatant during WW1 adds to notability (appreciate that WP:MILPERSON no longer prescribes specific ranks or decorations that "automatically" make someone notable, but I don't see how the subject is any more notable than the 20,000,000 other people/soldiers who died in that conflict).
2. WP:MERGEREASON - Upwards of 70% of the content (~480 of ~690 words / ~2800 of ~4000 chars) deal with the sinking of the Titanic. And ALL of the sources do. Three of the four "merge reasons" (context/duplicate/overlap) are therefore met. Normally, when this is the case, we would seek to address this with a merge/redirect.
3. WP:OUTCOMES - Initially I had considered taking my concerns to an AfD. To confirm consensus. And may yet. But had considered that some common outcomes of AfDs relating to Titantic passengers (other than deletion decisions) are a redirect decisions.

Anyway, I don't see how this subject is any more notable than 2,200 other people who were aboard the Titantic or the 20,000,000 people who died in WW1. And those seem to be the only claims to notability. Neither of which, to my mind, meet NBIO. And, as an alternative to deletion, am suggesting redirection..... Other thoughts?  Resolved. OK. More time has passed, and (absent the much welcomed input above from Justlettersandnumbers) I've heard no objections or other suggestions. And so (given that the majority of the content of this article relates to the subject's experiences getting on boat 13 of Titantic), I've merged and redirected the text to Lifeboats of the Titanic#Boat 13 (starboard). (Efforts to get on boat deck, pity from female passenger, shawl cover and hide, survival, etc.) Closing thread. Guliolopez (talk) 18:10, 27 December 2021 (UTC)
