Plot edit

The synopsis that was originally posted here is unacceptable for a variety of reasons. First of all, it is a wall of text. Second of all, it is entirely too long and too detailed. Rather than summarizing, it simply goes into far too much detail. This should be a very brief summary of the plot. Kids go to prom, zombies attack, losers save the day. From what I can gather that's all this really needs. TallNapoleon (talk) 23:59, 6 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

According to WikiProject Film guidelines, the plot should be anywhere between 400 and 700 words and should never exceed 900 words. The text that someone wants to keep adding is just about 900 words. What I added is only 64 words. I think the plot can benefit from a little bit more detail (another 100 to 200 words maybe?), but I agree with TallNapoleon that this is not the kind of film that requires so much in-depth, blow-by-blow detail that we have to push the limits. That's overkill, especially in this case. J Readings (talk) 00:23, 7 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
May I call everyone's attention to the following FA-rated article? The movie is Halloween (1978 film). Notice how short and concise the plot is. It's not verbose. It's not blow-for-blow. There aren't any run-on sentences. It would be great if we can make the current plot read like the Halloween article's plot. I haven't seen the movie, so I can't tell what needs to be chopped, but really (c'mon!). It's still should be chopped by at least half. J Readings (talk) 21:53, 7 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
Another example is Friday the 13th (film) where they gloss over the individual murders with one sentence. That's what we should do here, I'm thinking. J Readings (talk) 22:06, 7 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Miscellany edit

Putting these two links here for now. J Readings (talk) 11:20, 7 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Connection to the "Living Dead" movies? edit

The movie is listed among the Romero classics and their remakes in the "Living Dead" category, but as far as i can tell there is no connection (other for the suggestive titel) to these films. Should be checked and removed IMHO. (sorry for IP post) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.227.160.119 (talk) 17:44, 7 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

I think you're right. This category should be removed from the list. Sorry about that. J Readings (talk) 02:56, 16 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
