Dana Key passed away on June 6, 2010. Please update his page with this information.

Below is the information concerning his passing that I am using for verification.

Dana Key, from the duo DeGarmo & Key, passed away June 6th. Key had been serving as a pastor at a church in Tennessee.

Key was born in 1953, and became known in the Christian music world as a guitarist, singer and producer. His work with Eddie DeGarmo was highly respected, and he also released two solo albums. Over the years, Key shared stages with artists like Petra, Amy Grant, Jesse Dixon, and Resurrection Band, among others. Eventually, he headed Ardent Records, hosted a TV show, and pastored The Love of Christ Church in Cordova, Tennessee.

The information on the blog also makes it a tertiary source: Clay Cross confirms to the blogger. His congregation's site, or some other information needs to be found. Both Twitter and Facebook are full of condolences and memories of Dana (including my own) but not one of them is verifiable. --Walter Görlitz (talk) 14:05, 7 June 2010 (UTC)

According to local talk jocks on the Christian radio (and Twitter buzz), Dana Key passed away last night (June 6, 2010) from a blood clot. He was the pastor of the Love of Christ Church in Cordova, TN.

Just to clarify

I don't doubt that Dana has passed away. I'm sure other editors feel the same way. The problem is that Wikipedia is bound by rules of verifiability and in the case of people some rules to avoid legal action. If a verifiable source other than a blog can be shown that confirms Dana's passing, that would be ideal. --Walter Görlitz (talk) 15:08, 7 June 2010 (UTC)
