Reason for conversion to DAB page edit

I have converted Dagar into a disambiguation page with this edit – for relevant details, please see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Dagar. Only way to convert the above dab page into a clan article is by clearly developing consensus on this talk page that the Dagar clan is not only notable but also the primary topic here. Till then Dagar should be a dab page, as per WP:DABNAME. Thanks. - NitinMlk (talk) 19:02, 23 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

Get consensus first, then move things around. Primefac (talk) 19:07, 23 January 2017 (UTC)Reply
@Primefac: This page might get deleted because of your edit-warring – please see Cerebellum's comment at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Dagur clan. BTW, burden of proof is on you, as you want to convert it into a clan article. So, please prove that Dagar clan is not only notable but also the primary topic here. - NitinMlk (talk) 19:16, 23 January 2017 (UTC)Reply
There's nothing on Dagar (disambiguation) that gives an indication that anything other than the clan itself (i.e. Dagar) is the primary topic. I don't want to "convert" anything - there is page about a clan, and a link to the DAB page at the top. I see nothing wrong with this situation. Primefac (talk) 20:05, 23 January 2017 (UTC)Reply
@Primefac: Please see WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. In fact, I am shocked by your understanding of this field. - NitinMlk (talk) 20:17, 23 January 2017 (UTC)Reply
I guess I have already explained to you multiple times that you must provide multiple sources, which show that Dagar clan is not only notable but also the primary topic here. But you are just interested in edit-warring. - NitinMlk (talk) 20:28, 23 January 2017 (UTC)Reply
If you feel it's not notable you are welcome to nominate the page for deletion. Primefac (talk) 20:57, 23 January 2017 (UTC)Reply
This is a shocking reply – please see WP:ATD & the closing comment at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Dagar. - NitinMlk (talk) 21:01, 23 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

Update edit

The Dagur clan article has now been deleted. I have reverted Dagar to the clan article and replaced the disambiguation page at Dagar (disambiguation). If anyone wants to propose a page move, please do so formally, noting that no moves of these pages can be considered "uncontroversial". PamD 09:23, 24 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

Do not forget to tell that this article was nominated for speedy deletion as it was identical to Dagur clan but one PamD decided to send it to normal AfD. The Banner talk 13:22, 24 January 2017 (UTC)Reply
I was honestly hoping it would stay a redir until the AFD was closed, allowing both pages to be deleted. Alas, it was not to be, and now we have to jump through even more bureaucratic nonsense. Primefac (talk) 13:24, 24 January 2017 (UTC)Reply
