Hello Hurricanehink, I will be reviewing this article today. Overall, nice work! Knowing you (well, not IRL :P), it shouldn't be too long before this is listed as a Good Article.--12george1 (talk) 16:28, 4 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

  • "The next day the cyclone became extratropical before dissipating on January 25. A few days after Ernest struck, Tropical Storm Felapi affected the same region and produced further flooding." - I think you should split the lede into two paragraphs between these sentences. You should probably add a bit more impact, so then the paragraphs are more symmetrical. Btw, I know that Tropical Storm Felapi doesn't have an article, but maybe you should wikilink to its section in the 2004–05 South-West Indian Ocean cyclone season.
  • "The disturbance continued its movement to the west-southwest. On January 19 it began intensifying.[1]" - These two sentences are really short. Maybe you could merge them? For example, "The disturbance continued its movement to the west-southwest and began intensifying on January 19.[1]"
  • "the storm rapidly intensified over" - Wikilink to rapid deepening
  • "over warm waters into a tropical cyclone" - Wikilink to sea surface temperatures
  • "outward from the well-defined eye." - Wikilink to Eye (cyclone)
    • Eye was linked in the previous paragraph, don't think it's needed again. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 16:41, 4 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
      • Oops, I didn't see that (no pun intended :P). So never mind about that.--12george1 (talk) 16:45, 4 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
  • "and left 214 people missing as of February 25, 2005" - I have another source from February 2005 that states "almost" 65 were still missing [1]
    • I added EMDAT (Should've done that before, sorry), which has a final death toll. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 16:41, 4 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
      • So what about the number of people missing?--12george1 (talk) 16:45, 4 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
      • After a chat on Facebook, we both agreed that the number of missing people would be unchanged, despite a higher death toll from EMDAT.--12george1 (talk) 16:48, 4 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
  • That should be it, for now anyway.--12george1 (talk) 16:28, 4 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
  • Again, nice work User:Hurricanehink! I am now going to pass this article and list it as a GA. By the way, good luck on the WikiCup! :) Regards, --12george1 (talk) 16:50, 4 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
