Cyber Chit?

It's CHIP in the book and on the card. Firem'n Chit is the only one of the 4 (Whitling, Totin', Firem'm, Cyber) that uses that spelling. 12.23.74.66 (talk) 21:37, 15 September 2016 (UTC)

Lion Program.

The BSA has created a new rank for kindergartners called "Lion", which appears to be associated with the Cub Scout program. Should we add a section on this new Lion program to the article? --Qutonic (talk) 20:24, 29 June 2018 (UTC)

Yes. It's definitely an official part of American Cub Scouting. It was a pilot program that was tested out in the majority of councils over the past few years, with the Northern Star Council as the flagship. Boy Scouts has announced that it's going to become a full-fledged component of its Cub Scouting program come Fall, so I guess giving the Lion Cub Rank its own section is only the proper thing to do. However, I must advise you that when you add the section, you should be careful to take the steps necessary to make it clear that even relative to the increase in rigor from one previously established Cub scouting rank to the next, the Lion Cub Rank is basically Cub Scouting Lite. Well, logically, a good source to use would be the authoritative one, boy scouts itself. On the other hand, I wouldn't be too quick to focus solely on using a biased source, one which gives undue praise to a lackluster program. I would suggest checking around forums the like, but since this is Wikipedia, it's going to be especially important to use unbiased, reputable sources. Sticking with Boy Scouts is a good idea as far as getting information on how the program actually works, but if you want to convey how effective it might be, it might be a better idea to use news articles. Oh, and Don't forget to mention that against all logic, Lion Cubs don't earn the Bobcat rank. Since the plan is supposedly to bring the Lion Cub rank in line with the rest of Cub Scouting, they really should. It doesn't seem like a proper Cub Scout program that's ready for primetime, and if it wasn't the only kindergarten program, I'd say it was more like an alternative track.
