Rate

I have delisted this from its good article status. There is no mention of its nest, eggs, life span or many other essential facts about this bird. The article is not divided into sub-headings. Citations are not in-line. There is only one illustration. Snowman 18:32, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

The nest and eggs are mentioned. I have no argument with your other statements, though I don't see most of them at the Good Article criteria. Note especially "where appropriate, it contains a succinct lead section summarising the topic, and the remaining text is organised into a system of hierarchical sections (particularly for longer articles)".

I may return to this article at some point to do in-line citations and other things. Not necessarily to change the status, but just with a view to improving this and other bird articles, what in your opinion are the highest-priority "essential facts" missing here? Some essential details missing:- diet, pair bonding, flock forming or not, time of year of nest building, incubation time of the eggs, time for the chicks to fledge, when juvenile birds become independant, age of maturity, population numbers, population & range changes, local migration, aviculture, status in local culture, predators. I was thinking about asking for a rating review, but I thought that it was clearly not at the level of a good article, so I changed it myself to avoid taking up time. I thought that articles were assessed for GA status by an independent reviewer. Snowman 16:24, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

By the way, there's a comment on pairing and flocking too ("usually seen in pairs"), though not a full discussion of social behavior. And I covered the bird's avicultural status thoroughly :-) Also, it didn't make sense for me to ask you for your priorities.
