Contested deletion edit

This page should not be speedily deleted because...

Frankie Valli, Pat Boone, Deniece Williams, and Maynard Ferguson are all highly significant musical artists with extended Wikipedia entries. Craig Pilo's continued work as performing & recording drummer for those major artists is enough to support a credible claim of significance. --108.217.254.79 (talk) 16:51, 9 August 2016 (UTC)Reply

Cleanup edit

Article is in need of a semi or complete overhaul to fit the WP:MOS, specifically the use of refbegin and the dividers/html coding. --Jennica / talk 08:27, 2 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

Suggested changes to Craig Pilo edit

  • What I think should be changed (include citations):

Craig Pilo (né Craig M. Pilo; born 21 April 1972 Connecticut) is an American drummer and producer who has performed with Frankie Valli & the Four Seasons, Maynard Ferguson, Edgar Winter, Deniece Williams, Pat Boone, the Red Elvises, Player, Billy Vera and the Beaters, Jefferson Starship, The Beach Boys, Heatwave, Chris Montez, Maxine Nightingale, Jersey Boys Las Vegas, and many, many more. The Los Angeles Music Awards named Pilo "Best Jazz Artist of 2007" for his debut album, Just Play.

Craig Pilo received his bachelor's degree in music from the University of North Texas College of Music in 1995 [b] and soon began traveling with famed trumpeter Maynard Ferguson on the "One More Trip To Birdland" Tour. Pilo's film & TV credits as drummer: Ally McBeal, Sex and the City, CSI: Miami, Malcolm in the Middle, Sabrina, The Osbournes, Basic, Boston Public, and Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights.

Craig's mentors include Alan Dawson, Ed Soph, Ron Fink, Dave Weckl, Aaron Serfaty, and Jeff Hamilton.

In 2005 Craig joined Rock N Roll Hall of Fame singer Frankie Valli and remained a member of his touring band for the next 13 years. He appeared with Frankie on Jimmy Kimmel Live in 2007, the NBC Special "Frankie Valli Tribute on Ice" in 2008, the PBS/NPR special "A Capitol Fourth" in 2014, and the BBC Proms in October 2016 (London). Tour dates included the US, Canada, the UK, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand.

Craig has released three solo albums: Just Play (2007), Unsupervised (2011), and Drummer Boy (2014).[2] He has written on the music industry for Modern Drummer magazine,[7][8] and taught a variety of subjects at the California College of Music in Pasadena California where he was on the faculty from 2012 - 2021.

He's also composed and produced hundreds of cues for TV/Film/Media since 2009. Major TV placements include Keeping up with the Kardashians, Ru Pauls Drag Race, City Confidential, American Justice, Basketball Wives, The Real Murders of Atlanta, The REal Murders of Orange County, Rich Kids of Beverly Hills, and many more. Mid pandemic Pilo founded Groove Tower Music to keep up with the demand for his music. Groove Tower Music creates and supplies custom music to TV, Film, and Media. Craig can also be seen as a panelist and speaker at the TAXI Road Rally, a music convention for sync licensing held once a year at the Westin Hotel in Los Angeles.

  • Why it should be changed:

This is more of an "update" than a change, what was there was correct, but I've played with a lot more artists and earned a lot more TV placements in the last few years. I'd love to replace the picture up there as well. 2600:1700:D470:DE90:B9E1:CE70:72FC:8D5E (talk) 17:16, 6 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Your edit request could not be reviewed because the request is not formatted correctly.

  1. The citation style predominantly used by the Craig Pilo article appears to be Citation Style 1. The citation style used in the edit request consists of bare URL's.[a] Any requested edit of yours which may be implemented will need to resemble the current style already in use in the article – in this case, CS1. (See WP:CITEVAR.)
  2. Citation ref tags have not been placed within the requested text indicating which portions of the text the source is referencing. (See WP:INTEGRITY.)

In the collapsed section below titled Request edit examples, I have illustrated two: The first shows how the edit request was submitted; the second shows how requests should be submitted in the future.

In the example above there are three URL's provided with the claim statements, but these URL's have not been placed using Citation Style 1, which is the style predominantly used by the Craig Pilo article. Additionally, ref tags have not been placed within the text at the exact positions where the information they reference resides. Using the correct style and the correct positioning of the ref tags, the WikiFormatted text should resemble the following:
