Erroneous statement edit

The opening paragraph states for the Cotentin Peninsula "its northern coastline was the site of the famed World War II invasion of Hitler's Fortress Europa by the Allies on D-Day,"

This would appear to be factually incorrect. The D-day beaches were on the north-facing coast of Normandy to the east of the Cotentin peninsula.Eregli bob (talk) 14:26, 28 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
