There is a Russian Wikipedia article on Commissioner Roman, here. I didn't use much from it and it seems to contain some innaccuracies. It does have a good list of references which I didn't use or translate. There are also articles on the Romanian Wikipedia on the first two films. I also didn't take much from those articles, except for the quote by Sergiu Nicolaescu re Bogart and Cagney. That is taken from the Cu mâinile curate article, but no source is given. Different sources give different dates for these films and I'm not sure what to think about that. Herostratus (talk) 15:56, 13 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

Commissar or Commissioner? edit

According to my Romanian friend, it's more accurate to call him Commissar Roman as opposed to Commissioner. And that title was usually used for political police in the eastern bloc. 129.63.183.16 (talk) 17:01, 29 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
