Myspace edit

Can someone please show me proof that the listed myspace is really him? If not I'm removing it. --Malevious Userpage •Talk Page• Contributions 15:19, 30 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

It really is him. To prove it, go to Brie Larson's Offical myspace page, he is her number one friend. See here: http://www.myspace.com/brielarsonmusic

Cody has also starred in Hannah Monatana multiple times playing a famous character named Jake Ryan(Leslie), who attends school with Miley Stuart. As they become boyfriend/girlfriend, Mile tells Jake her deepest darkest secret; she is Hannah Monatana. He tells her a secret in return; he's real name is Leslie. Recently he starred in an up-coming Hannah Monatana episode premiereing on Disney Channel 7:30 ET. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.215.1.186 (talk) 06:09, 2 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Cody's Characters edit

In the article, it says that the character Cody Linley plays in Hoot is a character named Larry Burgess Jr. Direct quote, "He portrayed Larry Burgess Jr. and co-starred with Logan Lerman and Brie Larson, three youngsters who try to save a local colony of Burrowing owls." No, he didn't. He played Mullet Fingers when he co-starred with Logan Lerman and Brie Larson. I have tried to fix it twice, but the Wiki people say it is vandalism and have reverted it. Could someone please change it? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.20.51.227 (talk) 17:32, 8 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Reliable source edit

According to policy we must have third party reliable sources. I noticed one of the sources here, http://perezhilton.com/2008-09-10-mileys-new-boy-friend-speaks, does not meet what I would consider a reliable source. The author adds a lot of opinion into there work and completely rejects the facts. The author is biased in an anti-miley sort of way, so much so that the author insult her, rather than taking an objective approach. I would have taken steps necessary to improve this(possibly remove it), however I just want to make sure this is not a controversial issue. Does any one else agree (or disagree) that this source is not appropriate for an encyclopedia article? R00m c (talk) 15:14, 9 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Source for birth date edit

Do we really need sources for birth dates? I thought that was only necessary when it was disputed or controversial. If a source really is necessary, what would qualify? IMDB? Or something else? If it's an issue of privacy, the year could just be used, but I don't think that's the issue here. Could someone please clarify this because I'm unsure why the birth date keeps getting removed.

And yes, I am well aware that edit summaries have said "unsourced", but I see plenty of other BLP articles with unsourced birth dates, which makes this even more befuddling. --clpo13(talk) 17:46, 19 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Do we need sources for it? We need sources for anything that is contested or likely to be contested. I'm contesting it, so we need a source.
Why does it matter? Well, this is an entirely unsourced BLP. As far as we can tell, every piece of information in it fell out of the sky one day. Maybe it's all true. Maybe none of it is. Probably something inbetween. In the end, the article fails to provide ANY verifiable information of any kind, which is the goal of Wikipedia. We aren't here to provide speculation or "what everybody knows". We are here to compile verifiable information. Yes, other articles fail in this reguard as well. I encourage you to fix them as well.
So what IS a reliable source for a birth date? I've seen interviews with the person, their own websites, studio bios etc. User edited pages, like IMDb's bio sections are not reliable, neither are blogs, fan sites, etc. - SummerPhD (talk) 12:21, 22 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for replying and clearing that up. --clpo13(talk) 17:34, 22 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Place of birth? edit

His place of birth is listed at TV.com as Dallas, TX. On IMDB, it is Lewisville, TX. Neither are reliable sources. Anyone have an accurate source/answer? Otherwise, birthplace should be removed in the info box. --Logical Fuzz (talk) 17:57, 15 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

I'm glad this article got its photo - and a good one, too - gritty and sweaty. Das Baz, aka Erudil 23:22, 10 May 2010 (UTC)Reply
