Intention to update
editI am planning on re-writing this page. I will copy the original to my sandbox. Please let me know if there is anything I should add, thanks. Wyatt Tyrone Smith (talk) 17:39, 1 April 2019 (UTC)
- Update: Unfortunately the original biography links weren't archived and Transparency International has scrubbed most references to de Swardt from their website. I've added what I could from other sources. I'm no longer sure of the notability of this individual. Wyatt Tyrone Smith (talk) 16:19, 2 April 2019 (UTC)
- Alone the fact that Transparency International is trying to scrub most sources after a contentious separation, is a sign to be vigilant in keeping and researching information that they would like to hide. This individual is certainly notable for his past activities, and more details of his conflict with Transparency International may come out in time. --Sprachraum (talk) 05:47, 14 January 2020 (UTC)
- @Sprachraum: I think it is normal for a company to remove info about individuals with whom they no longer have a relationship. I don’t think we can read any nefarious intentions into TI’s conduct. As for notability, Wikipedia has its own standards involving reliable third party sources. I just couldn’t find any such for Cobus de Swardt. Wyatt Tyrone Smith (talk) 09:28, 14 January 2020 (UTC)
