Is it really necessary to include two images that purport to be of both handed versions but which are one original image and the other a horizontally flipped version of it? I think we are all adults here and can understand that whichever hand we look at, the other hand is the other way around.2600:1700:EA01:1090:187:2248:DB2B:9F66 (talk) 07:36, 30 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

Merger with Red Hand of Ulster

edit

At first when I noticed that the Red Hand of Ulster page had been merged here it didn't bother me but the more I looked at it and the move should have been discussed beforehand. I reverted it as simply put the coat of arms of Ulster and the Red Hand are two separate icons. One is a Norman invention combining a medieval Norman heraldic badge with a Gaelic symbol, the other is simply a Gaelic symbol of unknown possibly prehistoric origin.

Indeed it was quite ridiculous having so much history on the Red Hand in an article about a coat of arms that it features on especially when it had its own article and especially considering the wide usage of the Red Hand in other areas seeing as it is not exclusive to this coat of arms.
