Lack of citations edit
This article lacks citations in important areas. As an example, the list of alumni is woefully unreferenced. We need references to show both that these folk are notable and that they attended this school. Fiddle Faddle (talk) 09:57, 16 February 2012 (UTC)
Alumni edit
Just stating that an alumnus is notable is puffery. Each alumnus must be notable for a notable thing, and that thing must be stated and cited. Alumni also need the link to the school itself to be cited.
I am about to remove all alumni whose notability is in doubt. The fact of a title like Justice or HRH is not, of itself, notable.
When notability is established then these people may be re-added with pleasure. I take as my model the alumni list at Epsom College. Fiddle Faddle (talk) 12:46, 19 February 2012 (UTC)
- Several people on this list have no notability except within the school itself. A random research dentist is not inherently notable, nor is any other pupil who has simply made it to a listing by their employer. Others only have their suggested notability asserted by primary sources. I've flagged this section for that issue, and will be removing those who are not inherently notable over the next day or so.
