This article is based on an Everest winner. She is first civilian woman from West Bengal, India who was able to summit at Mount Everest . She is the 3rd woman( including non-civilians) to do that. She holds the record of combo summit at Mount Everest and Mount Lhotse. She is awarded as "sera avishkar" in " Sera Bangali" by ABP Ananda, the most popular publication and media of eastern India.

I am ready to communicate with anyone in case of any doubt.

Chhanda Gayen (Chanda Gayen)is an Indian mountaineer to achieve the summit of Mount Everest as third Bengali woman and first civilian Bengali woman. She holds the world record of combo summit in Mt Everest and Mt Lhotse. She is awarded as "sera avishkar" in "sera bangali" by ABP Ananda, India.

She is well known and widely Googled. some rlevant links to find her profiles and works 1. http://www.indianmountaineers.com/forum/15-news-and-updates/664-chanda-gayen-3rd-woman-from-bengal-scales-mt-everest.html 2.http://www.indianexpress.com/news/mount-everest-conquered-by-west-bengals-chanda-gayen/1117571/ 3.http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/topic/Chanda-Gayen 4.http://www.lensonnews.com/lensonnews/1/16/41287/1/woman-mountaineer-from-bengal-chanda-gayen-scales-mt-everest.html 5.http://realtime.rediff.com/news/west-bengal-chanda-gayen

?Hoax photo and ?World record holder

edit

I dont think File:Mount Lhotse Summit.JPG and File:Everest Summit Chhanda.jpg were taken on top of Mt. Everest and Mt. Lhotse by User:Tirthakanji. If it is real, then User:Tirthakanji must be on the top of the peaks along with Chhanda Gayen. Then he must be an world record holder also. But I could not find his name as an Everesteer and Lhotse climber anywhere till now. More over according to the Metadata, the Date and time of data generation of File:Everest Summit Chhanda.jpg was 11:28, 25 January 2010, that means the photo was taken on 2010, when Chhanda Gayen was no where near Everest. Also there is a considerable amount of suspicion in mountaineering community of India whether Chhanda Gayen had actually climbed both these peaks in real. Indian Mountaineering Foundation also had not recognised her claim to be a world record holder or an Everesteer. -- ---- — Preceding unsigned comment added by 101.220.22.97 (talk) 19:33, 8 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
