Translations/Sources Should add Chervonets graphic as found on the Polish page.

A note on the etymology (presumed) is probably worthwhile... That is Chervonyj literally is a red colored coin, and as alleged in several places, the red-gold coinds are "pure."

Should take a look at the Russian page for great detail -Note the Russian page goes into great detail about Ruble bills that are probably not directly relevant. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.164.210.135 (talk) 22:08, 11 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

Number of SSRs edit

I don't think there were 15 SSRs by 1939. The three Baltic states were officially annexed only in 1940 (even through the Soviet Army established itself there a year before to set the scene), so the count should be 12 in this article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:16D8:FF00:8536:847D:AD56:314A:846D (talk) 18:35, 28 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

"Pure Gold" edit

Sorry, could you explain me how exactly "chrvonnoe zoloto" means "pure gold"? "Chervonnoe zoloto" is a gold with copper having a typical reddish color (hence the name). Please, find somebody Russian to edit this article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.125.6.1 (talk) 12:41, 24 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

Duplicate structure edit

Haven't dug into the article's history to understand how this came about but it seems like the history sections are duplicated, two sections for pre-revolution and two sections for Soviet-era coinage. 173.71.222.95 (talk) 01:20, 20 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
