SSRI and Suicide idealization

edit

Statements from people that experience the CNS adverse effects of drugs are not included in databases for evaluation. This screens out valuable information. Therefore I will add my own experience with Prozac and later Paxil, which explains the violent effects of these drugs by other than the classical 'idealization' model.

It is not idealization, but agitation, agitation which is increased by any CNS stimulation whatsoever, and likely from too high plasma levels. There is a marked variation in elimination rates of SSRI drugs in general, therefore the viewpoint that since most people do not have the effect is not valid unless plasma levels are monitored for comparison. This is the primary flaw in all SSRI therapy, the lack of plasma level monitoring, which is avoided since metabolites likely would also have to be tracked. That problem leads to marketing issues avoided for the sake of profits. 71.114.190.5 (talk) —Preceding comment was added at 19:34, 5 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
