Fair use rationale for Image:CA Fenix.png edit

Image:CA Fenix.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

C.A. FénixC.A. Fénix (Uruguay) – From a discussion at WikiProject Football, there are two clubs, in Uruguay and Argentina with the name CA Fenix - C.A. Fénix and Club Atlético Fénix, although the CA stands for different things (one is Club, the other is Centro). CA Fenix without periods or accents is currently a disambiguation page. Two options were proposed:

Note Both options involve moving/turning C.A. Fénix into the disambiguation page with current disambiguation page CA Fenix redirected to it as well as CA Fénix (with the accent), which currently redirects to the Uruguayan team, redirected to the DAB as well.

Select Option 1 or Option 2 RedPatchBoy (talk) 22:06, 23 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

That is not an established naming convention in South America (Santos FC, All Boys which misses it completely, vast majority of clubs in Category:Football clubs in Uruguay etc.) and is contrary to the standard conventions we use for the rest of the world. Just to quote WP:ATDAB, Parenthetical disambiguation, i.e. adding a disambiguating term in parentheses after the ambiguous name: Wikipedia's standard disambiguation technique when none of the other solutions lead to an optimal article title (my emphasis). Naturally disambiguating these pages using the clubs' full names rather than their common names gives two optimal article titles in this instance so parenthetical disambiguation is unnecessary. • Option 1 The clubs themselves each refer to themselves as CA Fenix see here and here, so I'll go with that. RedPatchBoy (talk) 16:44, 24 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
Since this is currently at a standstill, I'm going to bring up this past rename request just for some added info. In that one, the option to use the full club name (for clubs with different words for the initials) received no votes. RedPatchBoy (talk) 02:18, 27 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
  • Difficult. But I'd go for Option 2.
    • What the clubs call themselves is almost irrelevant. That's primary sources and official names.
    • I'm inclined to go for the full names, Option 2, and cite wp:IAR to just say that makes the articles look better, at no cost.
    • Policywise, I think Option 2 has it too, as a natural disambiguation. (I was at first of the opposite opinion, hence the mention of IAR, but on reflection I think natural disambiguation swings it.)
    • Whichever way we go, there should be redirects from the suggestions of the other option to the particular clubs.
    • Whichever way we go, there should be redirects from all forms of CA Fenix to a DAB such as currently at CA Fenix.
    • Where that DAB ends up is completely irrelevant.
    • And as no consensus either way is likely, I'll invoke Andrew's Principle and suggest we move on. Andrewa (talk) 00:59, 31 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
  • Support Option 2 per the arguments made. It's a WP:NATURALDIS and the parentheticals will serve as excellent redirects. -2pou (talk) 21:42, 2 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
