Fair use rationale for Image:Cim school logo.jpg edit

Image:Cim school logo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 19:38, 2 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

addition of new external link edit

my addition of a new external link keeps getting deleted. please before you delete, research first at google or click the link yourself. Total Outreach for Community Health (TORCH), is not a promotional link, it is a fraternity and sorority in Cebu Institute of Medicine. Thus deserves the right to be included in the wikipedia entry of the educational institution. the organization's complete history can be read here: http://torch-cim.weebly.com/the-organization.html Licinio Angel Lopez Talip 09:22, 24 October 2011 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Liciniolopez (talkcontribs)

(edit conflict)

The website you are referring to is, http://torch-cim.weebly.com
At present, that site says it is 'under construction', and it seems to contain very little content. In addition I cannot see anything to show any official affiliation with CEBU. I cannot see, at present, why this link will add to the readers understanding of the topic of this article - see WP:ELNO.  Chzz  ►  09:23, 24 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

if that's how you see it, then perhaps you might as well delete the other external link sites: American Society of Cebu Institute of Medicine Alumni Inc.(ASOCIMAI), C.I.M. Alumni Association, Inc. Official Site, C.I.M. Batch 2006 Official Site, and Alpha Mu Sigma Phi Fraternity & Sorority because they likewise does not add to the reader's understanding of the topic.

although these sites are clearly associated and LINKED to the article in consideration which is an educational institution, the Cebu Institute of Medicine. for you information, ASOCIMAI and CIM Alumni Assoc are the alumni organization of all its graduates. moreover, Alpha Mu Sigma Phi Fraternity & Sorority (http://www.amsp.tk/) is already a dead link... you might as well delete that — Preceding unsigned comment added by Liciniolopez (talkcontribs) 09:44, 24 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

I've just posted a request for more input to this, on Wikipedia:External links/Noticeboard#Cebu Institute of Medicine.
Liciniolopez, please continue to discuss it here, but please do not keep adding it, until there is some agreement to do so. Thanks,  Chzz  ►  09:52, 24 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

it's ok. thanx for the help. regarding the "under construction" or the weebly.com address, we are presently moving the organization site to a more appropriate dot.org address. so there's no big rush. thanx Licinio Angel Lopez Talip 10:14, 24 October 2011 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Liciniolopez (talkcontribs)

To be honest, only the official link belongs here. The link to the official alumni group is broken and the other year-specifc alumni and country specific alumni fail WP:ELNO. --Bob Re-born (talk) 12:34, 24 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Suggestion edit

Hi, as of this writing, CIM is technically an independent from Velez College. I propose to separate information for these two, to have this article be focused on CIM (since this article contains some information appropriate for Velez College), and another one focused on Velez College. Cheers! Mrv286 (talk) 09:03, 1 December 2017 (UTC)Reply
