Talk:Catholic Church in Ukraine
Terminology
editEastern Rite Catholics are not Roman Catholics. If this is an article on Latin Rite Catholics in the Ukraine, then it has the proper title, otherwise it should be titled Catholicims in the Ukraine. Eastern Rite Catholics under the Pope are not "Roman" Catholics.EastmeetsWest 04:17, 27 December 2006 (UTC)
How are there "four million Roman Catholics" in Ukraine unless of course Armenian and Byzantine membership are also counted alongside Latin membership thus proving that the proper term to describe all followers of the Roman papacy is "Roman Catholic". — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.54.222.87 (talk) 04:33, 24 January 2014 (UTC)
Lviv
editArea around Lviv is not Catholic. There are a lot of Greak Catholic in Western Ukraine but not only in Lviv region, also in Ternopil and Ivano-Frankivsk regions.--Dƶoxar (talk) 20:54, 12 July 2010 (UTC)
map religion
editThe religion map has many mistakes (see remark above) and is rather misleading. The map shows for example - countries that have a non religious majority Czech republic - Eastern Germany, the Netherlands as a religiou country - shows catholic areas in the Netherlands - Amsterdam, Achterhoek, Twente- in Germany -Baden Wurtemberg - and areas in Switzerland as protestant.
However, the lack of sourcing is the main concern. Anyway a map like article text does not get a free pass on WP:V and WP:RS. So please add a reliable (NON WIKI) source or this map will have to be removed in order to comply with WIKIPEDIA quality standards. Grsd (talk) 19:39, 28 May 2012 (UTC)
