The "side effects" note [as of March 20, 2009] is ridiculous! Based on a single anecdotal report, the author of this part of the drug description chose to reference only this/these symptoms on the basis of the case report. The official FDA insert does reference sleep/dream disturbance, but only in the lower tier of possible effects (0.1% - 1% incidence); there are many, many other, more significant and relevant, side effects that are reliably reported, and probably reflect properly designed, random, controlled clinical studies. This idiotic reference is a great example of why Wikipedia is such a trashy resource! Levo vs. Dextro distinct pharmacological actions : note the Thalidomide case, not enough research data exists for both carvedilol enantiomers and the creation of a separate section within this article with the headline enantiomers is misleading, one (not me.) should integrate that section into the first paragraph, this drug is given a racemic, probably just because it is cheaper for the drug industry to synthesize racemic mixtures. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.156.56.120 (talk) 02:36, 23 October 2009 (UTC)

Available Dosages

Carvedilol's available dosages only reflects one brand name formulation. I have, in front of me, Carvedilol generic in 25mg tablet form, made by Mylan. Can someone who have more knowledge on this subject add the general forms available? I'm wondering, though, if this long list of information (each brand name formulation's dosing, generic dosing) should be excised completely. Pyrogen (talk) 12:37, 1 October 2011 (UTC)

3D formulae

The 3D formulae in the box shows only one enantiomer. However, Carvedilol is a racemate (1:1 mixture of two enantiomers). Thus, 2D and 3D structure are not in agreement with each other. Best regards, --Jü (talk) 15:14, 27 October 2011 (UTC)

• MOA: incorrect beta receptor information; Expand on inverse agonism (confusing)
• Side Effects: Comment on prevalence, so readers know what is common/rare and the red flags to look out for
• Formulations: Be thorough and include other formulations
• Expand on inexistent chemistry section; include structural activity relationship, absorption

• This draft is a good start, especially with citing credible sources. We suggest improvements such as adding drug-drug interactions, contraindications, metabolism, and including percentages for side effects. Because Wikipedia is also an international source, other brand names used in other countries can also be included.
