Agathokles edit

A dozen web sites support the statement that Pichler wrote the novel as a response to “Gibbon’s attack on that hero”. However, I can only find that Gibbon only mentioned Agathocles of Sicily(who lived centuries before the decline of the Roman Empire) once in a footnote, along with Cortez of Mexico. Other sites state that the novel was a response to Gibbon’s mistreatment of Christianity, so I suppose Pichler just picked the name for her protagonist. I’ve edited the article accordingly. Anyone interested enough to actually look at the novel to see?
