Updated cite link edit

MartinEvans123 used a tool called ReFill to 'improve' some links on this page on 23 November (a few days ago). I don't know what this tool does, but the result is that at least two of those links don't work (they don't lead to references that support the material they are supposed to). I fixed one with a link to archive.is; I can't be bothered with the rest of them - I just came here to check some facts.

Perhaps Martin would be kind enough to come back and check the cite links he modified still work, and fix them if they don't. MrDemeanour (talk) 16:58, 28 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned references in Canning Town edit

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Canning Town's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "Council":

  • From UK Independence Party: "Ukip Takes Control of Thanet Council the Day After Nigel Farage Lost MP Bid". The Daily Telegraph. 9 May 2015. Archived from the original on 10 May 2015. Retrieved 9 May 2015.
  • From 2018 Newham London Borough Council election: "Newham Council elections - Thursday 3rd May 2018". London Borough of Newham. Retrieved 7 May 2018.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 02:35, 23 February 2020 (UTC)Reply
