Maiden name of first wife edit
On 21 June 2014 an IP editor added the maiden name of "Vaughn" to Carr's first wife, Mercy. This is incorrect according to Anderson, Sanborn and Sanborn, The Great Migration, vol II, p 14, which states, "The claim that Mercy's surname was Vaughan is most likely an invention, derived from confusion with the fact that the stepfather of Caleb's second wife was William Vaughan."Sarnold17 (talk) 00:31, 22 June 2014 (UTC)
Birth date edit
An IP editor edited the 1624 birth date to 1616, without any source cited. However, there are two sources that show the 1624 birth year to be much more accurate, and these are both given in "The Great Migration" cited above. The first is the ship passenger record which states that he was aged 11 when he sailed in 1635. The other is that he died on 17 December 1695 in his 73rd year (i.e. aged 72). Both references are given on page 14 of the cited work. If both of these records are correct, then his actual birth year is 1623, so his birth year in this article will be changed to that year.Sarnold17 (talk) 20:53, 23 February 2016 (UTC)
