Not accurate
editThis is not accurate. There are several states that limit the savings on pre-tax contributions for purposes of state income tax. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 204.152.235.216 (talk) 10:15, September 26, 2008
- The article states the federal tax benefits of a cafeteria plan, but it does not mention the state tax benefits. As you correctly state, some states limit or eliminate the tax benefits of a cafeteria plan. Pennsylvania is a good example. ~ Quacks Like a Duck (talk) 18:24, 16 March 2009 (UTC)
- Correction: Pennsylvania allows the state tax exemption. New Jersey does not allow the state tax exemption, except in rare situations. [See "Technical Bulletin TB-39(R)" (pdf). New Jersey Division of Taxation. March 3, 2003.] ~ Quacks Like a Duck (talk) 18:57, 16 March 2009 (UTC)
Who cares about Pennsylvania? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.153.247.46 (talk) 13:10, 1 December 2009 (UTC)
