I just ran across this article while doing page patrol. Cabo Rico is a respectable small builder -- its founding in the sixties makes it one of the earliest production manufacturers of glass boats and few of them are still around.

I note that there are currently 26 Cabo Rico boats for sale on YachtWorld, and while that is not conclusive evidence of notability, it's certainly suggestive. There are others on List of sailboat designers and manufacturers with similar numbers.

I know, of course, that expert opinion is not allowed in articles, but I'm not sure of its standing in this kind of discussion. I've been sailing for forty years, including a circumnavigation, and have, thirty years ago, built and sold boats for a living. I have no connection whatsoever with Cabo Rico other than having seen the boats occasionally.

As for NPOV, the article makes only one qualitative comment, and that is negative. It appears from User:R Jordan that he is a yacht broker, so yes, he has a financial interest in the industry, but not an obvious particular interest in this brand. As his User page comments, certainly Wikipedia would be better off with more and better articles on yachts. While we cannot be Consumer Reports, we should certainly provide background. This is a reasonable start on this brand. Jim - Jameslwoodward (talkcontribs) 16:49, 7 April 2010 (UTC)Reply
