Unclear sentenceEdit

I don't understand the sentence that says "The membranes that surround the fats are broken down, subsequently forming clumps known as butter grains." Is it the membranes that form clumps, or is it the fats? I suspect the latter, but on the face of it the sentence says the membranes form clumps. UBJ 43X (talk) 00:26, 14 November 2012 (UTC)
