Reasons for the creation of this info box edit

This information box was created for the purpose of including a single, uniform info box in three of the four main Burger King articles. This was done so that all of the three articles would have an identical, uniform info box with out any conflicting information. The info box was not created to make my or other editors lives easier when editing the main articles.

The four main articles, Burger King, Burger King products, Burger King advertising and Hungry Jack's can be described as one large article split into four distinct parts, which is the truth as the secondary articles were split off of the main article when it grew too large. The BK info box is on each of the BK named articles because of the splits, and each of those splits covers information summarized in the info box (company info such as history, products and slogans aka advertising). The Hungry Jack's article has its own information box as the company is a franchisee of BK and has its own business structure.

Google Map Integration edit

I think it would be cool/informative to have a link to Google Maps showing nearby loactions. This could work for most Wikis that have an info box. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.33.8.254 (talk) 16:56, 8 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Genre? edit

The word genre does not traditionally mean type of food, and Template:Infobox company strong suggests on not using this that field on anything but for publishers. I also have to ask what is so important about it since Industry = Restaurants & Products = Fast food already convey what type of business it is, making Fast food restaurant redundant. Just because other templates are misusing that field, we have no reason to misuse it here. --Svgalbertian (talk) 12:56, 24 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

Genre by definition is a kind or category, especially in the arts. So while it is used mainly in artistic definitions, it can be applied in other fields. We use the |genre= to put it the specific type of restaurant class in which the subject belongs then we use the |products= field to state which type of sub-class it is in. IE, BK is in the restaurant industry in the fast food category whose products are burgers and fries, versus Sarku Japan which is in the restaurant industry in the fast food category and whose products are Japanese food. So using products=Fast food is problematic because for every type of cuisine, there is a fast food category for it. --Jeremy (blah blahI did it!) 16:32, 24 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

"Kieth" in the "founders" section should be changed to "Keith" because that is the correct spelling 64.138.252.56 (talk) 20:57, 12 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

Soft drinks and milkshakes edit

I was wondering, do these two items really need to be listed separately on the template? Maybe there's a difference in US/UK usage, but in the UK, "soft drinks" means non-alcoholic, cold beverages. Milkshakes would be included under that definition. Farrtj (talk) 14:14, 18 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

currently Soft drink indicates this is a synonym for carbonated beverage, so how about if we use that? Frietjes (talk) 15:13, 18 October 2013 (UTC)Reply
While a milk shake is technically a soft drink, under most usage soft drinks are referring to sodas/fizzy drinks. On the other hand carbonated beverages can include beer, (its carbonation is provided in part by the fermenting process, but in draft beer a carbon dioxide/nitrous oxide mixture is injected into the beer as part of the dispensing process) which Burger King does sell in some markets and its Whopper Bar concept, but for this template "Soft drinks" is the more appropriate term to use. --Jeremy (blah blahI did it!) 08:08, 19 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

Under Key People, please change the CEO from Bernardo Hees to Daniel S. Schwartz and the CFO from Ben K. Wells to Joshua Kobza. These are the correct officers. Below is the link to Burger King's management page:
