Article Evaluation edit

I feel as though there is some relevant information that is missing from the article that could actually provide a better picture of Brittany's career. Based on what Kaiser has been linked to in the news, and what she seems to be most known for in general, the Cambridge Analytica data scandal and her work with Own Your Data are very pertinent aspects of her career. Since the Cambridge Analytica and Own Your Data topics are very relevant to Kaiser's work, I believe more information on these two topics could be added for more depth.

The article references that Kaiser was the director of business development for Cambridge Analytica's parent company. It also addresses the Facebook–Cambridge Analytica data scandal by providing information that Kaiser fled to Thailand and testified in the trial. However, there was no information about her actual role in the scandal. Kaiser has been very vocal in interviews about being the whistleblower and although this role was mentioned in the title of her book, there is no explicit information in the article about what she actually did in relation to the scandal. I felt as though some of the other provided information, such as her fleeing to Thailand, becomes a little distracting or confusing without further context of her involvement with Cambridge Analytica and Facebook.

I also think it's worth adding more updated information about her #OwnYourData campaign. This is something she still currently works on and publicizes a lot, which leads me to believe it's very relevant when discussing her career. The article only states that she started a Facebook campaign appealing for transparency called #OwnYourData, but I think a more accurate picture of her work would be created through mentioning how she proceeded to co-founded the Own Your Data Foundation.

I personally felt that without further information on these two topics, the article provided a less accurate portrayal of Kaiser and her career.
