Possible military railway

edit

There used to be a railway (still is??) on Hoo Salt Marsh, an island in the Medway Estuary. Anyone know of a military connection? Mjroots (talk) 14:08, 8 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

I believe this is the one listed as "Hoo Ness Tramway" in the article. If these are the same then there is a military connection, although I don't have much detail to hand. Gwernol 14:59, 8 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
Could be, AFAIK the railway on Hoo Salt Marsh is 2ft gauge. Mjroots (talk) 15:37, 8 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Gauge question: Braefoot Bay Fortification supply railway

edit

Braefoot Bay Fortification supply railway on British military narrow gauge railways has a question mark behind the gauge of 10 in (254 mm). No sources are given or could be found on the internet. Does anyone have a source for this?--Aaron-Tripel (talk) 13:27, 7 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
