I have modified the article as to remove the copyrighted text from the centrica website which was on the original British Gas page.

I think a comprehnsive article on the British Gas industry from the 19th century up to the present day is really needed including origins, pre 1949 private and municipal undtertakings. Post 1949 nationlisation and conversion to natural gas. 1949-1973 Area boards and Gas Council, 1973 - 1986 British Gas Corporation and regions. 1986 privatisation and 1997 demerger to present day ownership of gas distribution network by National Grid (86.181.195.80 (talk) 19:51, 25 November 2011 (UTC)).Reply
