"Displacement"

This field should be checked. Displacement would be an unusual measure of size for a merchant ship; gross tons, net tons, or deadweight are more likely (and useful). This source, reporting on a now-offline report on the loss of the Derbyshire, indicates the higher value is gross tonnage. Kablammo (talk) 13:16, 23 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
