Fair use rationale for Image:BobbyCurtola1.jpg edit

Image:BobbyCurtola1.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Chart positions edit

There were no official Canadian charts until 1964. Was someone using the CHUM charts and calling them Canadian? I have compiled all his positions using all of the CHUM, official Canadian, and the two Vancouver stations that are on a website. Anyone who can use this can write me. Hello, George. I have now corrected the chart positions as listed in the RPM.82.42.131.52 (talk) 00:21, 16 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Order of Canada link edit

I don't know where they found that citation for Order of Canada but it was not only an outdated list that didn't include Curtola (and had errors), it probably violated WP:CITE standards. I went to the actual government website for the Order award and replaced the link. 70.73.90.119 (talk) 17:26, 14 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

Boby Curtola edit

Although his change in spelling is indicated in media (and he apparently used it till at least 1989), I haven't been able to verify that he released a full album under this variant name. There are two singles credited under Boby Curtola at the 45cat index website so I adjusted the wording. Of course if anyone has a "Boby Curtola" album and can verfify, please feel free to revert my edit. 23skidoo (talk) 20:18, 8 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

  • Do Wikipedia's image rules allow us to use label scans from 45Cat (with credit)? I'm uncertain if 45Cat claims any sort of copyright or ownership of user uploads. I ask because it may be useful for verification to include a label scan from one of the Boby Curtola singles. 23skidoo (talk) 20:21, 8 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

Coke jingle edit

Article says he wrote "Things Go Better With Coke" jingle but according to various websites it was written by William M. Backer. 2604:3D09:1F74:1C00:9931:7CE3:1903:25B1 (talk) 16:05, 15 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
