Merger proposal edit

We've got two articles for the same film -- Prove It (talk) 21:12, 3 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

Content from the other article edit

I merged what was easily merge-able, but there's a lot of contradictory information in the other article. Someone who has actually seen the movie can probably make quick work of it, otherwise do some research - but I'm at the end of my rope on this one. Gore movies never were my thing. :) I brought the plot section over from the other article because it was a lot better written, but it's also a lot more concise. There were also the following three sections which I didn't think belonged in the article, but may prove useful to someone...

Trivia edit

Sheriff Loomis can be found eating in every scene. The body of Mr. Lamply can be found at every crime scene. The name 'Fuad' can also refer to an Egyptian king. Ishtar is not Egyptian, but in fact Babylonian. Fuad III can be seen carrying a pet skunk into the catering shop.[1]

Sample Dialogue edit

  • Detective Loomis: I think there's a more sinister picture here. Now what do we have? Three dead girls, missing kidneys, missing eyes, missing liver. Now, what does that add up to?
  • Detective Myers: Eight?
  • Detective Loomis: No. I mean what does that tell you?
  • Detective Myers: There's a pattern?
  • Detective Loomis: Yes, there's a pattern. Organ harvesters.[1]

Critical Comments edit

  • "A new Herschell Gordon Lewis film!?!?!?!? What wonderful times we live in!!! -Harry Knowles of Ain't it Cool News
  • "Yes, the man's still got it...Herschell Gordon Lewis...still doing things the Drive-In way after all these years. -Joe Bob Bridges

Additional sources edit

If anyone feels like doing some more research on this film, the following sources were found (by another wikipedian) during the article's AFD debate: coverage in independent secondary sources such as Dread Central[1] Io9[2] DVD Talk[3] and Film Threat[4] and IS verifiable in such as The New York Times [5] as well as severalbooks
