Pendo [ পেঁড়ো ] and Basantapur are different. Pendo and Basantapur are now two distinct villages, separated from one another by few kilometers. The area covered by the Pendo fort lies entirely within the Pendo village and is somewhat distinctly marked as Pendo Garh [ পেঁড়ো (গড়) ]. A portion of the surrounding moat still exists. The area covered by the fort is circular, having a diameter of half a kilometer. The locality to the north of the fort is called Chaudhuridanga, the paternal of residence of Bhavashankari. Rajvallabhi and Jayadurga are different deities. Rajvallabhi was the patron deity of the kingdom. She was worshipped by every subject of the kingdom. Her temple is still there at Rajbalhat. On the other hand, Jayadurga was a kuladevata. She was worshipped by members of the royal family only. Her statue is still worshipped in a temple within the Pendo village. Issues

edit

The article has several issues. Among these are that there are no dates; there should be dates, especially in the intro, in a historical article. There are many PoV statements. Imc (talk) 21:30, 27 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
