RfC: Should this duo-album be included in this discography?

In response to recent edit warring by StatsFreak at several articles, in which the editor disputes the presence of the Everything Is Love album in the chronology and discography, I am posting this to determine a consensus that will affect all affected articles, including the discography articles and album articles for each artist -- Beyoncé and Jay-Z, who were officially credited as the duo The Carters for Everything Is Love (but also credited as "Jay Z and Beyoncé" on the physical edition packaging). • Yes - The CD packaging credits both "The Carters" and "Jay Z and Beyoncé". Also, because Wikipedia articles are based on third-party sources, and the preponderance of reliable third-party sources considers the album to be by both artists, albeit billed under, or along with, the moniker. isento (talk) 17:04, 20 November 2019 (UTC)

• Yes - As I've said on "Everything is Love"s page: "Beyoncé herself includes the album as part of her discography, as it can be seen on her site: [1]. Sites like Pitchfork lists Everything is Love as a collaborative project under both artists' name: [2] The album is also listed as part of those artists' discographies on RYM and Album of the Year. • No - Every albums chart the album charted on officially credits the album under the name The Carters, including Germany, France, Sweden. The CD packaging also clearly credits the album under the name The Carters. Additionally, the Recording Academy also credited the album as The Carters in it's nomination/win at the 61st Annual Grammy Awards. A mere mention that The Carters are made up of Beyoncé and Jay Z does not equate to the album being released by each artist, whether together or separate. As previously stated, the inclusion of this project under Beyoncé's solo discography is no different than the inclusion of Destiny's Child's work. --StatsFreak (talk) 19:14, 3 December 2019 (UTC)

• It is different in that no Destiny's Child release credited Beyoncé as a singular entity/artist of the release; The CD packaging clearly credits both "The Carters" and "Jay Z and Beyoncé" as the recording artist(s) of the release. The Carters appears to be a one-off project of the two rather than a substantive duo; the only official discography credits attributed to "The Carters" name is the album. • Exactly. Not only the package credits both artists, as I said above, Beyoncé's official site lists the album as one of her projects, unlike Destiny's Child releases. • Neutral. There's not really consistency in the correctness of collaborative albums sections on artists' discographies (i.e., Kanye West discography contains one, but Backstreet Boys discography does not, but both are featured articles), so I believe this discussion needs a broader RfC. • That's a good idea. Mantain the album on both discographies' pages, but specify that the project was also released under the codename "The Carters". This way the information is complete.10:26, 11 March 2020 (UTC)

Beyonce's Artistry

It is without a doubt Beyoncé has released some of music's greatest treasures. Over the course of her career, the Crazy In Love singer has set the standards for the new generation of music to come through her album roll outs, professionalism, and most of all performances. In today's society she gets comparisons to the great Michael Jackson on which is the better entertainer. It's a very hard decision considering the times in which they performed offered different things for each artist to stand out. But overall I guess it's better to admit Beyonce is untouchable when it comes to her contemporaries in this decade of music. She now uses her platform to give messages of empowerment and makes statements rather is political or social. RIAA certifications

I'm not sure if there are any rules pertaining to this, however newer certifications by the RIAA for songs that Beyoncé is featured on continue to be removed here because she is not billed on the certification as a featured artist. The certification for "Telephone" by Lady Gaga featuring Beyoncé is listed here despite the source not listing Beyoncé on the certification and has been accepted for years. But when it comes to her recent features, such as "Perfect Duet" by Ed Sheeran and Beyoncé and "Savage (Remix)" by Megan Thee Stallion featuring Beyoncé, the certifications for those songs are not being allowed here because she is not credited on the RIAA website for the certification.
