I cannot find an obituary online with his date of birth, or the name of his mother. Can anyone help? Hopefully it won't take eight years – like this one, Talk:A. Maitland Emmet. Jowaninpensans (talk) 14:00, 29 November 2018 (UTC)Reply
The year quarter and date of his birth can be found on the GRO register of births, relatively easily by searching in Freebmd. His mother's [?maiden] surname is given as Honeybul. After that the trail goes extremely cold. So far, no trace of his mother's death, or the birth dates of his father of mother, and no trace of their marriage. Neither of them can be clearly identified in the 1939 register. This is a bit quicker than 8 years, but there's a long way to go! Foiled circuitous wanderer (talk) 11:24, 19 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
