Highest point

edit

Considering that Mount Everest is only 8.8 km above sea level, perhaps the measurement indicated for the highest point is incorrect.altjira (talk) 00:02, 23 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

That's a very diplomatic comment :) There was actually a typo; the highest point is 277 m, not kilometers (still needs a source, though). Thanks for catching this!—Ëzhiki (Igels Hérissonovich Ïzhakoff-Amursky) • (yo?); April 23, 2013; 11:55 (UTC)

History

edit

This section is clearly incomplete: the Culture section says that the area was "one of the earliest Rus' principalities", yet this does not appear in the History section. The history needs to include that as well as information about the early Slavic tribes. Dismalscholar (talk) 22:57, 18 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

The region is contested

edit

a part of this oblast is no longer under the control of the central government, it should be noted 2A02:3030:809:C0BF:1:0:1CFA:FC04 (talk) 20:58, 22 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

The situation is unclear, there is no confirmation of what areas have been taken. Mellk (talk) 21:02, 22 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
Here is a very reputable source confirming that Kozinka is occupied by Ukraine-alligned partisans: https://www.understandingwar.org/backgrounder/russian-offensive-campaign-assessment-may-22-2023 2A02:3030:809:C0BF:1:0:1CFA:FC04 (talk) 08:28, 23 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
Yep, that appears to be confirmed. HappyWith (talk) 12:09, 23 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
I think it is time to add the term "contested". 2A02:3030:81D:AF74:1:0:20A8:12D8 (talk) 13:16, 23 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
