Name: explanation

The Hebrew article claims that he building was named "after the construction company that built it". This article has no explanation, but attributes the construction to an Egyptian company. Kadima/qadima means "forward" in Hebrew, "qadim" with derived form "qadima(h)" means "ancient/old" in Arabic. A) It's a bit counterintuitive to have a construction company called "Ancient". B) If it's indeed an Arabic word, it should be Qadimah, and only if the Kadima spelling is well-rooted in English (?!) do we have to keep it without an explanation. Maybe it's not Arabic after all, and then it's quite straightforward; or it is, and for the Hebrew-speaking residents it was only natural to hear the Hebrew word and use it, which is an interesting story to tell. Sources present on Hebrew page, translation needed

This seems to be a translation of the Hebrew article, which makes sense. That one is fully sourced, but we need somebody who can read Hebrew to move over the refs. Arminden (talk) 19:43, 13 February 2022 (UTC)
