I doubt very much if two films makes a “franchise” however, a debate over this is unnecessary. Do any of the reliable sources talk about a BJ franchise? MasNuisance (talk) 19:55, 20 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

This article was essentially created without any explanation by an anon IP editor(diff)

WP:FILMSERIES says "A film series article should only be created when the series encompasses at least three films." A second film has not yet been released but is imminent, this article does seem premature with very low potential to become a high quality article. Unfortunately the guidelines also say "Exceptions may include franchise articles where films are one of several notable and interrelated components (TV series, comics, etc.). If desired, a film series article can be maintained in the draft space until it meets the threshold." and editors will insist that this excuse gives them enough justification to keep this article despite the lack of "Significant coverage" WP:SIGCOV for the franchise as a whole, taking the many small bits of coverage of the elements of the franchise as their justification. I agree with you but it will be difficult to get consensus to force this article into draftspace as editors seem unwilling or unable to enforce WP:FILMSERIES and these low potential film series and franchise articles continue to spawn. -- 109.77.197.194 (talk) 12:56, 2 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
