Shockingly Racy and Stunning Pre-Code Comedy Masterpiece edit

Saw this more than once at the Museum of Modern Art and was electrified by the plot as well as the amazing 1933 dialogue. Constance Bennett and the rapturously gorgeous Pert Kelton (the original Alice Kramden in Jackie Gleason's The Honeymooners two decades later) play a couple of prostitutes who get men drunk then rob them, a common occurrence in real life, which could only be a pre-Code plotline and plays in the film a lot better than it sounds. I urge you to move heaven and earth to attempt to behold this rarely screened but dazzling masterpiece of genius from writer/director Gregory La Cava.
