Result in infobox

edit

Since the sources state that the battle ended with a ceasefire, the result should state indecisive, since neither side was a victor in the engagement per the sources.XavierGreen (talk) 23:00, 20 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

Why? The result was a ceasefire. That's an adequate descriptor for an infobox, and per sources. --Iryna Harpy (talk) 23:03, 20 January 2017 (UTC)Reply
A ceasefire is not a result, it doesn't indicate anything about who was the victor which is what the result section of the infobox is for. For example, World War One ended in a ceasefire, but the Allies clearly won WWI.XavierGreen (talk) 23:05, 20 January 2017 (UTC)Reply
A ceasefire is a result if the sources tell us so. Do you have some sort of tally as to who would have won had the ceasefire not crashed the party? We're not talking about the entire war, we're talking about one battle with an outcome: ceasefire. --Iryna Harpy (talk) 23:10, 20 January 2017 (UTC)Reply
What could have been is irrelevant. Since the fighting is over and neither side won, the result is indecisive.XavierGreen (talk) 23:32, 20 January 2017 (UTC)Reply
Iryna Harpy is right. We write per the sources, and sources say ceasefire, not indecisive. EkoGraf (talk) 00:51, 21 January 2017 (UTC)Reply
