Mehmet II edit

In sidebox, the names of the commenders are shown. But the name ofMehmet II is missing . I'll try to call the author. Nedim Ardoğa (talk) 10:05, 10 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

Mehmed himself didn't take part in the battle, but the three main commanders of the Ottoman army were his two sons Bayezid II and Mustafa and Davud Pasha[1].--— ZjarriRrethues — talk 10:55, 10 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

I see that there is a misunderstanding. Prince Mustafa was in charge of the left flank (with Rumelin soldiers) and Prince Beyazıt (later Beyazıt II) was in charge right flank (with Anatolian soldiers). They were, in modern terms, corps commenders. But the commander of the whole army was Mehmet II. So I 'm going to make the appropriate change in the side box. 300 thousand army? edit

Claiming that the Aq Qoyunlu army was an army of 300 thousand people is the same as believing that the Persians were 3 million in the thermopile war. Reptilian3322 (talk) 11:24, 14 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hello Reptilian3322, Sorry, I noticed your message late. We take as reference the academic figures given by historians. And the figure of 300 thousand is included in the reports of Akkoyunlu and Venice itself.According to Franz Babinger, an army of 60 thousand people was gathered from Anatolian principalities and neighboring states alone. It is stated there in other available figures, we use the sources given by historians, not the ones that suit our minds. Keremmaarda (talk) 23:05, 28 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

"Karamanids[1] Candar dynasty[1] Beylik of Dulkadir[1] Germiyanids[1]" edit

@Battle of Otlukbeli: where can I find this? Page 300 doesn't even mention the word Otlukbeli. Beshogur (talk) 17:40, 22 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

I think you know Turkish, so I won't get any help from the translation. başlıyan Akkoyunlu-Venedik münasebederi 1463'te bi r ittifak

Haçlı donanması Antalya'yı tahrip ederek1 2 4Rodos a geri göndüğü vakit orada Uzun Hasanin elçileri üe karşılaştı.

Doesn't tell anything about Otlukbeli. Or am I missing? Beshogur (talk) 21:55, 23 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
It tells about those who supported the Otlukbeli war. Check out the general section. Keremmaarda (talk) 22:38, 23 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
No it doesn't. There is no single proof of these participating in the battle. Beshogur (talk) 10:11, 24 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
Are you serious? Anyway. Keremmaarda (talk) 22:55, 25 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
Are you kidding? What "are you serious"? Beshogur (talk) 15:28, 26 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
In the source I gave, it is clearly stated that they received "material and moral" support. Please speak without exceeding your respect. Keremmaarda (talk) 22:52, 28 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
Doesn't state anywhere about Otlukbeli. Beshogur (talk) 16:45, 29 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
Since Uzun Hasan was supported, for which war do you think support was given? Keremmaarda (talk) 17:10, 29 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
I won't pursue this issue any further, it's an unnecessary discussion anyway. Keremmaarda (talk) 17:11, 29 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
What do you mean with unnecessary discussion. I am reading what I see and it doesn't say such thing. Beshogur (talk) 17:26, 29 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
Mr. Beshogur, the actual title of the page I gave you already says Akkoyunlu-Ottoman rivalry. And like the article you opened under the name "Before", it talks about the support given to Uzun Hasan. Even Franz Babinger says that only Uzun Hasan, one of the Anatolian Principalities, gathered 60 thousand soldiers. Keremmaarda (talk) 18:07, 29 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
What I mean by unnecessary discussion is that you will not be convinced no matter what I say. I don't want to prolong the topic any further, let it be as you accept it. Keremmaarda (talk) 18:09, 29 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
You don't need me to accept it. Let's see what others say. Beshogur (talk) 18:14, 29 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

On page 323 of the PDF I gave, it is stated that the Timurid and Karakoyunlu states entered the war on the side of Uzun Hasan by force. Should we add it to the Allies section? Keremmaarda (talk) 06:03, 1 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
Seems ok to me. Beshogur (talk) 10:56, 1 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
The source I gave on that page first explains the course of events, the support given to Uzun Hasan, and what happened before. If you had fully read the PDF I gave you, you would understand this. Keremmaarda (talk) 22:54, 28 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
