I checked Ippen (1916) - an WP:OUTDATED who discusses an entirely different subject (Albanology) and has just inserted a small paragraph about this event. Ippen (1916) probably but for the sake of the verification, I checked it. He writes: Meanwhile, on January 8, 1880, another battle took place there; the Montenegrins had set out from Pepic against Metej near Plava and were attacked by the troops of the league; eight Montenegrin battalions and about 10,000 Albanians took part in the battle. Victory was claimed by both sides, but the Montenegrin troops withdrew to line (défilé) Sutjestka near Andrijevica, and the Albanians burned the Vassojevic villages of Velika, Rzanica and Pepic. which never got to the article. Instead we get a fictional version of the events via triumphalist depictions from one side. Side comment: This battle supposedly had more participants than the battle which determined the war and yet it's unknown in bibliography. Knowing Murino and the surrounding region, I can say with certainty that it's physically impossible for 13,000 people to have ever fought any battle there. This probably was a small skirmish that got inflated afterwards for war propaganda purposes. And that highlights why we should rely on reliable and contemporary bibliography. I'm sure that the banned editor who wrote the article had no problem with using bibliography in this manner, but active editors should not endorse such abuse of wikipedia.--Maleschreiber (talk) 17:25, 31 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

I agree with most of your points, the terrain is indeed too harsh for any battle of a larger scale. But still, we need a more detailed explanation for the newly added tags (OR) and so far - none was given. Sadkσ (talk is cheap) 04:51, 3 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
