"Vogue claim"

I removed a text from this wiki which claimed to be using "Swedish edition of Vogue-magazine as source." There is no "Swedish edition" of Vogue (see Vogue (magazine)). Other information also supported removal. 62.78.150.147 15:33, 11 August 2006 (UTC)

Edited the false claim away from this rationale to comply with policy - can be seen in history if disputed. 62.78.150.147 18:19, 14 August 2006 (UTC)

Removed note of other songs

I removed:

A Danish remix has been made by the Danish Internet radio ''MMradio.org''. The remix is a parody, based on the fact that a lot of people think the song is about a boat, instead of a bot. Hence, the parody is about a boat, which further heightens the misunderstanding. The producers who made it never told what they would like to call it and thus received a name identifying Anna as a boat by a listener upon its first airing. A Dutch duo (Gebroeders Ko) also covered it, and their song is also called "Boten Anna" and is about a boat called Anna. In the video there are about 6 sexy ladies dancing on the boat, while listening to "Boten Anna".

As many more parodies and remixes were made. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Vincentt (talkcontribs)

Btw. the statement "The producers who made it never told what they would like to call it and thus received a name identifying Anna as a boat by a listener upon its first airing." is wrong. At megamixers.com (MMradio is MegaMixers radio...) it is listed as " Rundfarten (CFFS Matros Mix)" PoiZaN 10:42, 11 September 2006 (UTC)

True or not?

Vi sitter i Ventrilo och spelar DotA

This song is about BassHunter and his friends, using the voice communication application Ventrilo while they are playing DotA, a custom map for Warcraft 3. It's a eurodance song, very similar to Daddy DJ's song Daddy DJ or Scatman.

This was added at the bottom of the article.. Considering there is really no mention to DotA in the song, does this have any basis in fact? If somone else agrees, please delete it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.196.176.249 (talkcontribs)

Ehh, the song has DotA in the name. Doesn't really get more obvious than that. Also, the extended version has sounds from the game. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.231.243.116 (talkcontribs)

Yeah its true, watch the video clip. The lyric is 'Vi sitter har i venten och spelar lite dota' which translated means something like 'we play dota and talk/sit on vent'. The videoclip features a few pieces of warcraft iii gameplay which appears to be dota. - 134.7.77.147 08:20, 7 September 2006 (UTC)

According to this subtitled video < http://basshunter.m0o.eu/dota/index_en.php > "Vi sitter har i venten och spelar lite dota" translates to "We're sitting here in Ventrilo playing some DotA." Xchbla423 17:37, 12 September 2006 (UTC)

Actually, I think that Vi sitter har i venten och spelar lite DotA means something closer to "We're sitting here Ventin', just playing some DotA." "Ventin'" is a slang term used refering to speaking on Ventrilo. Primal 19:51, 12 June 2007 (UTC)

"Venten" means "the Vent", or a Ventrilo channel. The song and its lyrics are entirely about Ventrilo and/or DotA, as evidenced by the soundclips that are in it. I don't know about eurodance, but it's pretty obvious that it takes a lot of things from Daddy DJ. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.191.22.133 (talk) 16:38, 18 February 2008 (UTC)

IKEA

The IKEA website features a bot called Anna. Is this a coincidence? ABoerma 03:09, 3 September 2006 (UTC)

I doubt it. Anna is an extremely common girl's name in Sweden, good for about 8% of the Swedish women. Han-Kwang 22:02, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
Anna is the second most common first name among women in Sweden. But I must say it's a funny coincidence! Does other countries IKEA pages also have the Anna bot? abelson 11:54, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
Cool, they do! Check out the American IKEA bot Anna abelson 11:57, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
Yes, it's a coincidence. As Abelson already mentioned, it's a very common Swedish name and it makes sense naming a bot Anna if you're after the image of being a Swedish company like IKEA is. The bot itself is also not famous by any means, as far as I can tell. -Obli (Talk)? 13:37, 7 September 2006 (UTC)

Regarding the pictures of him having sex

Is it something to mad be mentioned in the article? I think so, after all the pictures were mentioned in the swedish media and has been widely discussed on various discussion forums and websites.

If possible someone should gather some quotes from him on the matter in question. And also explain in _short_ what the pictures are depicting. SwedishPsycho 11:07, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

I've deleted everything that didn't have a source under the "Controversy" section. Especially the paragraph called "Public reaction" should have been called "What the guys at random gaming forum thought about it". KEK 00:55, 7 February 2007 (UTC)

I agree that the mention of the photos should be made. It still comes up often in interviews with Basshunter, and he publically acknowledges it. He does not shy away from the issue, and even boasts about how is not ashamed of it. Even if it is simply 'trivia', then it should be included -- as is similar information in many, many articles about other performers. I have a feeling some are trying to protect Basshunter's 'honour' or something, but, again, he is very public about what he did, and about his recent interest and foray into making porn. I can't see the logic of not including this information, which people would understandbly want to know more about if they do here it mentioned in the media or elsewhere. Wikipedia is a logical place for them to come to to find out more. Veggiehead (talk) 14:31, 28 June 2008 (UTC)

Basshunter who attended a concert at Delhi, India on the 13-02-2010 caused sparks of controversy, be leaving the concert unannounced within half an hour. Every guest who attended payed ridiculous sums of money while not receiving any of the benefits supposed to be involved in the high ticket price of 80Euros. Organizers of the event claim that Basshunter got onto a plane to Dubai after leaving the concert with an estimated sum of about 80,000 Euros. In short, he is a lower colon.

If you feel it absolutely necessary, include a short section, but nothing elaborate. As far as any other trivial factoids, please see WP:TRIVIA. This is already really just fancruft, but I can tell it's going to hold for now. This isn't an issue of verfiability, or honour; it's simply notability. --Jacob Talk 20:50, 28 June 2008 (UTC)

Missing albums

What's the deal with the other albums on basshunter.se like Welcome To Rainbow and The True Sound? Why aren't they included in our discography? As well, my friend has some songs ( such as Counterstrike the .mp3 and another one about swords or something) that are tagged as being writen by Basshunter, but I can't find them on his website or here. Primal 22:06, 24 May 2007 (UTC)

The True Sound is on his first album The Bassmachine. As far as I can tell, the other songs such as Counterstrike the .mp3, were released individually on his website before he was signed. Some of these songs have been compiled into a digital-only album entitled The Old Shit, which can be purchased through his website along with his previously free album The Bassmachine. There have been no announced plans for a physical release of these albums. DarkProdigy 18:13, 11 June 2007 (UTC)

Well then why don't we include songs from The Old Shit in our discography? Can I add them? Primal 19:46, 12 June 2007 (UTC)

The paragraphs are inconsident. In the first one it is said "(...) albums on basshunter.se like Welocome To Rainbow and The True Sound?" and in the next you said: "The True Sound is on his first album The Bassmachine." It is sure "Counterstrike the .mp3" ("Counterstrike the mp3"?) was added separetly before he was signed? The Bassmachine was released in 2004 on CD. The Old Shit was released digitally on Basshunter website. It included his old songs. The Bassmachine also was released on his website as "The Bass Machine" in 2006. Both albums have their articles and are included in Basshunter discography now.   Done Eurohunter (talk) 07:08, 6 May 2016 (UTC)

Celebrity Big Brother 2010

Shouldn't his so called "romance" with Ekaterina Ivanova be mentioned? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.149.201.29 (talk) 16:05, 11 January 2010 (UTC)

Also, that as a youth he masturbated up to 25 times per day. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.143.205.204 (talk) 19:34, 12 January 2010 (UTC)

The romance, probably. The masturbation, absolutely not. AnemoneProjectors (talk) 20:02, 12 January 2010 (UTC)

Apostrophe catastrophe

Please could someone correct the apostrophe error in the career section? The 'Now Your Gone' should be 'Now You're Gone'. Alexknibb (talk) 19:18, 11 January 2010 (UTC)

[editpage] "he started to produce music"

Dear, I have found an error, on the french version of this page, we said that he start to make music in 1999, but on this version, we said that he start to produce music in 2002.

I can't edit this page, and it make me a little bit frustrate. I'm on wikipedia since a lot of years, I have my account since about one year. AND... I have already edit this page U.U ...

Anyway, -"He started to produce music under the stage name " basshunter in 2002" +" He started to produce music with Fruity Lopps in 1999, and he use the stage name since 2002" —Preceding unsigned comment added by Im.olivierbois (talkcontribs) 01:58, 15 January 2010 (UTC)

In 1998 Basshunter started singing in a choir, in 2001 he started producing in FruityLoops and after six months he began producing under stage name "Basshunter".   Done Eurohunter (talk) 07:08, 6 May 2016 (UTC)

Number agreement

{{editsemiprotected}} This has to be corrected:

His fifth studio album, Bass Generation, was announced on 1 July 2009 on the Hard2Beat website and was released on 28 September 2009.

His third studio album Bass Generation was released on September 28, 2009.

since i do not know which is the correct number.. all i can say is this needs to be fixed. --Ajm1109 (talk) 06:22, 27 January 2010 (UTC)

I added {{fact}} templates and hidden comments. -The New Mikemoral ♪♫ 22:08, 27 January 2010 (UTC)
The discography section makes it clear that Bass Generation is his fifth album. Basically, someone had typed "third" instead of "fifth". AnemoneProjectors (talk) 22:26, 27 January 2010 (UTC)
Bass Generation is third Basshunter album.   Done Eurohunter (talk) 07:08, 6 May 2016 (UTC)

Edit request from 67.189.240.207, 26 June 2010

{{editsemiprotected}} The link to his "All I ever wanted" song should go straight to his song, not to a disambiguation page. His song is at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/All_I_Ever_Wanted_%28Basshunter_song%29 Thank you very much. 67.189.240.207 (talk) 13:48, 26 June 2010 (UTC)

The Hunt for Bass 2010

According to the article, it states that the winner has been not chosen yet. It has, indeed, been chosen now. The winner is "Ali Nadem" with the song "Electro Champion" as seen on the official http://www.basshunter.se website, and the YouTube video of the song released by extensivemusicsweden here. Can somebody please change this? Cheers! --   Marik_332000 12:45, 28 June 2011 (UTC)

Debut album

The wiki says his debut album was 'LOL', but it was actually 'The Old Shit', which was released over the internet. I would know, I have it well since before 2006.

Yes but officialy: The Old Shit songs Basshunter made in early years (no one said it was album at this time) and self-released on his website in 2006. We useed "Internet album". In 2006 he joined to Warner Music and Extensive Music label, and next was released his hirst official studio album LOL <(^^,)> produced in studio (many tracks additional produced or mastered because he made some songs around 2005).
